This disruption is primarily necessitated by the non-interlocking work required for the doubling of the Gorakhpur Cantt-Unaula rail section. According to the official statement provided by Dr. Shivam Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway, Prayagraj, all affected passengers will be fully eligible for a complete ticket refund without any cancellation charges.

Travellers must note that multiple services running between Kanpur Central, Anand Vihar, and New Delhi are impacted during this period. The specific list of cancelled train services and their corresponding dates include:
- Train number 02457, Kanpur Central-Anand Vihar Express, is cancelled for August 30, September 1, and September 3.
- Train number 02458, Anand Vihar-Kanpur Central Express, is cancelled for August 30, September 1, and September 3.
- Train number 02455, Kanpur Central-New Delhi Express, is cancelled for August 28, 29, 31, and September 2, 4.
- Train number 02456, New Delhi-Kanpur Central Express, is cancelled for August 28, 29, 31, and September 2, 4.
