South Eastern Railway Kharagpur Division Launches Hindi Fortnight 2026
South Eastern Railway has officially kicked off Hindi Fortnight 2026 across its Kharagpur Division to promote the maximum use of the official language in daily office work. Running from September 14 to September 28, the fortnight-long celebration features a variety of workshops, cultural events, and competitive activities designed to foster greater awareness and engagement among railway employees.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Divisional Railway Manager of Kharagpur, who encouraged officers and staff members to embrace Hindi in their official correspondence and operational duties. The event aims to strengthen the effective implementation of the official language policy while creating a positive and encouraging work environment.

Throughout the fortnight, several engaging competitions have been lined up for railway personnel. These include Hindi general knowledge quizzes, speech contests, essay writing, extempore speeches, and notings and drafting exercises.
