DRM Anil Kalra focused on reviewing the ongoing progress of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, a national initiative aiming to modernize 1,340 railway stations. The redevelopment plans involve expanding concourse areas, ensuring Divyangjan-friendly infrastructure, and integrating eco-friendly designs. Beyond the redevelopment project,
DRM Kalra assessed existing passenger amenities and evaluated the feasibility of establishing a new rack point at the station to significantly improve logistical capabilities in the region.
This high-level visit follows a history of infrastructure oversight by the DRM within the Kota-Bayana rail section. Notably, this includes a
safety inspection conducted via window trailing on June 15, 2026, to ensure strict track standards. Furthermore, authorities acted on previous directives issued in December 2025 which were aimed at preparing tracks for 160 kilometer-per-hour operations. During previous engagements in the region, officials have also actively reviewed public requests for additional train halts and site-specific structural modifications to improve pedestrian access near station platforms.
