Kota DRM Anil Kalra inspects Bayana station redevelopment under Amrit Bharat Scheme

Kota Divisional Railway Manager Anil Kalra recently inspected Bayana Junction railway station to review ongoing Amrit Bharat Station Scheme upgrades. This visit continues previous inspections held on August 29 and September 1, 2026, focusing on infrastructure progress and passenger amenities.
DRM Anil Kalra meticulously examined platforms, the circulating area, the booking office, the station master's room, the yard, tracks, and point-crossing infrastructure during his visit. He directed officials to ensure all construction works are finished strictly within the stipulated schedule while maintaining high quality standards.
Meetings with Public Representatives and Local Trade Unions
During the inspection, DRM Kalra interacted with Smt. Ranjita Koli, former Member of Parliament from the Bharatpur Lok Sabha constituency, discussing development scopes and passenger services. Additionally, the local Vyapar Mahasangh submitted a formal memorandum of demands.
The trade union requested additional train halts at Bayana, the extension of the Jaipur-Bayana train service to Bharatpur, extending the Kasganj-Bharatpur train up to Bayana, and increased operational hours for the reservation counter. DRM Kalra assured the delegation that these passenger demands will receive positive consideration from railway authorities.
Boosting Commercial Operations and Freight Loading
Apart from passenger amenities, the DRM explored new initiatives to boost commercial revenue. He examined the feasibility of initiating freight loading activities at Bayana by thoroughly assessing the available site and local railway infrastructure. These steps aim to transform the station into a vital hub for both passenger convenience and regional freight movement.
