Kuchaman Connectivity Surge: New ₹44Cr Bridge & Major Railway Demands
Kuchaman is witnessing a massive infrastructural transformation as major road and railway projects gain significant momentum. From large-scale bridge constructions to urgent calls for station modernization, the region is gearing up for a major connectivity boost.
Mega ₹44 Crore Railway Over Bridge Project
A landmark development is underway with the construction of a massive four-lane Railway Over Bridge (ROB) at Railway Crossing No. LC-97. This crucial project is situated on the Jaipur–Kuchaman–Khatu–Tarnau–Nagaur Road (State Highway-90) within the Ratangarh–Degana railway section.
Following a competitive bidding process led by the Public Works Department (PWD), Krishna Construction Co. has secured the contract as the lowest bidder. The project, valued at a staggering ₹44,80,00,000, is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and improve transit efficiency in the area.
Local Roadway Improvements
In addition to the major bridge project, the Municipal Council of Kuchaman City is also prioritizing local infrastructure. A new Cement Concrete (CC) road is being developed, extending from the Mega Highway to the residence of Banshilal Kansotiya. This specific project carries a tender value of ₹49,73,000 and has moved through the necessary administrative stages following its tender opening in August 2026.
The Fight for a Modern Kuchaman City Station
While physical roads and bridges are expanding, local stakeholders are intensifying their efforts to modernize the Kuchaman City Railway Station. During discussions held on September 16, 2026, representatives emphasized that the station requires urgent upgrades to ensure accessibility for all passengers.
The primary demands for station improvement include:
- Installation of a Foot Over Bridge (FOB).
- Provision of lifts and escalators to assist senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities (divyangjan).
Demands for Enhanced Rail Connectivity
Beyond station amenities, the community is also pushing for a much-needed expansion of the rail network. There is a strong collective demand for new direct train services connecting Kuchaman to major hubs, specifically:
- Haridwar
- Mumbai
- Tirupati
Furthermore, residents are advocating for a major upgrade to the existing Guwahati service. While the weekly train has served Kuchaman City for 23 years, there is a formal demand to convert this into a daily service to better serve the traveling public.
