Kusheshwarsthan Railway Station: MP Shambhavi Choudhary demands construction at original site, check details

Samastipur MP Shambhavi Choudhary has officially raised the long-standing Kusheshwarsthan Railway Station issue in the Lok Sabha. She requested the Ministry of Railways to build the station at its original location under the Sakri-Hasanpur rail project. This demand comes at a time when the region is looking forward to the completion of rail connectivity that has been pending for nearly five decades.

The location of the Kusheshwarsthan station was previously shifted due to environmental restrictions. However, MP Shambhavi Choudhary informed the house that these restrictions are no longer a barrier. She pointed out that the current proposed site is located far from the residential population, which would make it difficult for common people to access rail services. Building the station at its original site is expected to provide better access for thousands of passengers, farmers, and local traders who rely on the railway for their livelihood.

The land acquisition process is moving at a fast pace to ensure the project meets its upcoming deadlines. Along with this, the doubling of tracks on the Samastipur-Darbhanga route is also nearing its final stages to improve train frequency in the area.
