For nearly 50 years, people in this area had been demanding a local booking office. Currently, more than 20,000 passengers from around 40 villages have to travel to Daundi or Balod just to book a train ticket. The new counter will save time and money for local farmers, students, traders, and patients. Additionally, since the area is home to the Sheetal Mai Temple, it will be easier for devotees to plan their visits.

The decision was finalized after General Manager Tarun Prakash inspected the station. Sanjay Bais, a former Janpad member and member of the Railway Advisory Committee, briefed the GM about the local issues and requested the counter.
