The North Eastern Railway has officially announced the extension of the weekly Lal Kuan-Rajkot Express to manage increased passenger demand during the upcoming festival and wedding season. Railway authorities confirmed that this continuation will provide significant relief to travellers navigating peak seasonal rush between northern and western parts of the country.

- Extension Period: Until November 29, 2026 for Lal Kuan and November 30, 2026 for Rajkot

Schedule and Operational Details
According to the official schedule released by the railway administration, the Lal Kuan-Rajkot weekly special (05045) will operate every Sunday until November 29, 2026. Meanwhile, the return Rajkot-Lal Kuan weekly special (05046) will continue every Monday until November 30, 2026. This service extension officially takes effect starting October 4, 2026, from Lal Kuan and October 5, 2026, from Rajkot.

The decision to extend this popular train service was confirmed by Agra Railway Division Public Relations Officer Sanjay Kumar Gautam and Izzatnagar Division Public Relations Officer Safdar Hussain. Officials noted that the extended service aims to provide crucial relief to passengers traveling from the Braj region—including Hathras City station—to various destinations in Gujarat. This update was coordinated successfully between the North Eastern Railway and the North Western Railway to ensure seamless travel experiences for all ticket-holders.
