Lalitpur Railway Station: Yard remodeling work to start from July 1, check train diversions and cancellations
The Jhansi Division of North Central Railway will start yard remodeling work at Lalitpur Railway Station from July 1, 2026. This technical project will run until August 1, 2026, to improve train speed and safety. The work is planned in three phases: Pre-Non-Interlocking, Non-Interlocking, and Post-Non-Interlocking.

How will the work be executed and what is the purpose
The project will start with Pre-NI work from July 1 to July 19, followed by the main NI work on July 20, and Post-NI activities from July 21 to August 1. Officials stated that this upgrade aims to increase operational capacity, improve signaling systems, and make travel more punctual for passengers. Along with this, platform heights are being increased at 14 stations including Jakhlon and Udaipura.
Which trains are cancelled and diverted
Around 40 trains will be affected, causing inconvenience to nearly 80,000 passengers. While some trains are diverted via different routes, others are completely cancelled during the work period.
