Indian Railways launches Lalkuan Sabarmati weekly festival special train

Indian Railways is introducing a new weekly festival special train service between Lalkuan and Sabarmati to manage the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming 2026 festival season. North Western Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Amit Sudarshan confirmed that this special service will operate via Bandikui station, offering seamless connectivity for travellers on this route. Passengers can now plan their festive journeys comfortably with well-defined schedules and a robust coach composition designed to accommodate high passenger volume.

Train 05344 from Lalkuan will run every Wednesday from September 2 to November 25, 2026, making a total of 13 trips. Train 05345 from Sabarmati will operate every Thursday from September 3 to November 26, 2026, completing 13 return trips. The service features a total of 20 coaches, including one Second AC, two Third AC, 11 Sleeper class, four General Second Class, and two SLR/D coaches.

Detailed Schedule and Timings


The Lalkuan-Sabarmati weekly special Train No. 05344 is scheduled to depart from Lalkuan every Wednesday at 1:35 PM. On the return journey, the Sabarmati-Lalkuan weekly special Train No. 05345 will depart from Sabarmati every Thursday at 4:00 PM. Both trains will complete 13 trips each, ensuring ample travel opportunities during the busy autumn festival period.

To facilitate passengers across multiple regions, the train has been provided with extensive halts in both directions. The comprehensive route covers major stations including Kichha, Baheri, Bhojipura, Izzat Nagar, Bareilly City, Bareilly Junction, Badaun, Kasganj, Hathras City, Mathura Cantt, Mathura Junction, Bharatpur, Bandikui, Dausa, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Beawar, Marwar Junction, Falna, Sumerpur Jawai Bandh, Abu Road, Palanpur, and Mahesana.
