Indian Railways introduces new weekly special train between Lalkuan and Sabarmati
The Indian Railways has announced the launch of a new weekly special train service connecting Lalkuan and Bareilly with Sabarmati to improve regional connectivity. This initiative is designed to provide seamless travel options for passengers heading toward major hubs such as Jaipur, Ajmer, Mathura, and Bharatpur. The service will run for a total of 13 trips in each direction to accommodate the seasonal surge in passenger demand.
Key details of the new service include:
- Train 05344 (Lalkuan to Sabarmati) will depart every Wednesday at 1:35 PM from September 2 to November 25.
- Train 05343 (Sabarmati to Lalkuan) will depart every Thursday at 4:00 PM from September 3 to November 26.
- The train composition consists of 20 coaches, offering AC Two Tier, AC Three Tier, Sleeper Class, General Second Class, and SLR coaches.
Route and Connectivity
This special train is set to be a significant convenience for travelers commuting between North India and Gujarat. The train will follow an extensive route, ensuring connectivity across multiple states. Major stations on the route include Bareilly City, Bareilly, Badaun, Kasganj, Mathura Junction, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, and Abu Road before reaching its final destination at Sabarmati. Both the onward and return journeys will largely follow this same path, catering to commuters and tourists alike.
