Loaded Truck Stalls on Hardoi Railway Crossing Halting Train Services

Train operations on both Up and Down tracks came to a temporary halt near Hardoi Railway Station on Saturday morning after a loaded truck became stuck squarely on the tracks. Quick thinking by railway staff and local authorities averted a major disaster during the unexpected incident.

Rail traffic was suspended at approximately 10:42 AM after the truck got trapped at Khadra Crossing Railway Gate No. 277C, creating an immediate and critical obstruction for oncoming trains.

Swift Response Prevents Disaster

Realizing the gravity of the situation, the alert gatekeeper on duty acted without delay. The gatekeeper immediately notified railway officials and staff, triggering urgent emergency safety protocols to halt all train movements in the area and prevent any potential collision.

To clear the heavy obstruction, railway authorities swiftly deployed a hydra crane to the accident site to lift and tow the stalled vehicle away from the danger zone.

Normal Operations Resume

Thanks to the coordinated and intensive recovery efforts, the vehicle was successfully cleared from the tracks after approximately 30 minutes of work. Following a safety clearance check, rail services on both Up and Down tracks were safely resumed.

Railway authorities have praised the alertness and prompt action of the gatekeeper and the emergency response team, noting that their vigilance successfully averted what could have been a major train accident.
