Madhupur–Giridih Passenger Trains Cancelled for Bridge Work
Eastern Railway cancels Madhupur–Giridih passenger trains on November 8 and 23, 2026, due to bridge work on the Madhupur Bypass project.

The Asansol Division of Eastern Railway has announced a Madhupur Giridih train cancellation to facilitate essential infrastructure development. Due to ongoing construction work under the Madhupur Bypass project, specific passenger services on the Madhupur–Giridih section will be suspended on two dates in November 2026.
Reason for Service Suspension
The cancellation is required to allow for a critical traffic and power block at Bridge Number 6A. This bridge is located between the Madhupur and Jagdishpur stations. The work is a key component of the Madhupur Bypass project, which aims to enhance rail infrastructure in the area.
Affected Train Schedule
Passengers traveling on the Madhupur–Giridih route should note that the following services will not operate on November 8, 2026, and November 23, 2026:
- Train Number 53515 (Madhupur–Giridih Passenger)
- Train Number 53516 (Giridih–Madhupur Passenger)
Important Travel Information
While the railway authorities have scheduled various traffic and power blocks on November 5, 8, 23, and 26, 2026, the passenger train services are only impacted on the two specific dates mentioned above (November 8 and November 23).
Commuters are advised that these specific passenger trains will continue to run according to their regular timetables on November 5, 2026, and November 26, 2026, unless further operational adjustments are made by the Eastern Railway.
