30 Trains to Stop at Maihar Station for Navratri 2026

To accommodate the massive surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming Shardiya Navratri festival, the West Central Railway has announced temporary stoppages for 30 express trains at Maihar station. This initiative is specifically designed to assist the large influx of devotees traveling to visit the revered Maa Sharda Devi temple.
Extended Halts for Pilgrim Comfort
Recognizing the specific needs of pilgrims, including elderly passengers and families traveling with children, the railway authorities have implemented a special boarding provision. While temporary halts are typically limited to two minutes, the designated trains at Maihar will receive a five-minute halt to ensure a smoother experience for travelers.
These temporary stoppages will remain in effect from October 11 to October 22, 2026. This period aligns with the Shardiya Navratri festivities, which begin with Ghatasthapana on October 11 and conclude with Vijayadashami on October 20, 2026.
