Navratri Special: 30 Trains to Stop at Maihar Station Temporarily

To accommodate the massive surge of devotees during the upcoming Shardiya Navratri Mela, the West Central Railway has announced a special operational arrangement. In a move to ensure passenger convenience and ease the movement of pilgrims, the railway administration has sanctioned temporary stoppages for several major trains at Maihar station.

Festive Relief for Pilgrims

The decision comes as a response to the expected heavy influx of travelers heading to the religious site during the festive period. A total of 15 pairs of trains, amounting to 30 individual train services, will receive these temporary halts. This initiative is designed to make the journey smoother for those visiting the shrine during the Navratri festivities.

The temporary stoppage facility is scheduled to be in effect for a specific duration:

  • Start Date: October 11, 2026
  • End Date: October 22, 2026

During this period, each of the designated trains will be permitted a five-minute temporary stoppage at Maihar station to facilitate the boarding and deboarding of passengers.

Key Trains and Schedule Adjustments

The railway administration has identified major long-distance services to provide these halts. For instance, the 11055 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur Express will be among the trains following this revised schedule. By incorporating these stops, the railway aims to manage the increased passenger volume effectively throughout the duration of the fair.

Travelers planning to visit Maihar during the Shardiya Navratri Mela are advised to check the revised timings and schedules for these 30 trains to ensure a hassle-free journey.
