Passengers traveling through the East Central Railway zone are advised to check their schedules carefully. Due to essential infrastructure upgrades, including non-interlocking and pre-non-interlocking works, several trains will face cancellations, diversions, or significant delays starting from September 21.

The railway authorities are working to integrate a new bridge with a double-line facility at Rajendra Pul station and establish main line connectivity between Dinkar Gram Simariya and Barauni stations. This project will impact several stations across the Danapur and Sonpur divisions, including Rajendra Pul, Hathidah Junction Upper, Taal, Rampur Dumra, and Dinkar Gram Simariya.

  • Howrah-Jaynagar Express (13031): Cancelled from September 20 to October 3.
  • Jaynagar-Howrah Express (13032): Cancelled from September 21 to October 4.
  • Malda Town-Patna Express (13415): Cancelled on Sept 20, 23, 25, 27, 30 and Oct 2.
  • Patna-Malda Town Express (13416): Cancelled on Sept 21, 24, 26, 28 and Oct 1, 3.
  • Bhagalpur-Muzaffarpur-Bhagalpur Jansewa Express (13419/13420): Cancelled from September 25 to October 4.

Major Route Diversions

To keep traffic moving, several long-distance trains will be rerouted via alternative paths:

  • Brahmaputra Mail (15658) & Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Garib Rath Express (22405): Between September 20 and October 3, these trains will operate via the Kiul-Gaya-Grand Chord line.
  • Howrah-Kathgodam Bagh Express (13019) & Howrah-Raxaul Mithila Express (13021): These will run via Sealdah-Ballia-Bardhaman-Rampurhat-Sahibganj-Bhagalpur-Munger-Barauni, with extra stops at Rampurhat, Sahibganj, and Bhagalpur.
  • Kathgodam-Howrah Bagh (13020) & Raxaul-Howrah Mithila (13022): The return journeys will operate via Bardhaman-Rampurhat-Sahibganj-Bhagalpur-Munger-Barauni-Sealdah-Ballia.
  • Other Rerouted Services: The Patna-Dumka, Danapur-Bhagalpur Intercity, Amarnath Express, and Brahmaputra Mail will be diverted via Bakhtiyarpur, Sheikhpura, Kiul, Munger, Barauni, Katihar, and Malda Town.

Short-Term Changes and Rescheduling

Travelers on local and specific weekly services should also note these adjustments:

  1. Jasidih-Mokama MEMU Passenger (63571/63572): The 63571 service will terminate at Kiul from September 20 to October 4, while the 63572 service will originate from Kiul from September 21 to October 5.
  2. Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Vikramshila Express (12367): On October 3, this train will depart Bhagalpur with a delay of 180 minutes.
  3. Godda-Rajendra Nagar Weekly (13229): This service will face a 3-hour delay on October 3.
