To manage the massive influx of passengers during the upcoming festive season, Eastern Railway has introduced a special train service between Malda Town and Shakurbasti (Delhi). This initiative is designed to ensure smooth transit for travelers, particularly those residing in the Anga, Kosi, and Seemanchal regions who need to commute to the national capital via the Malda Town Shakurbasti Special Train.
Train Schedule and Timings
The special service will operate under two specific train numbers to facilitate travel in both directions:
- Train No. 03439 (Malda Town to Shakurbasti): This train is scheduled to depart from Malda Town at 10:00 AM on November 10, 2026. It is expected to reach Shakurbasti at 5:00 PM the following day.
- Train No. 03440 (Shakurbasti to Malda Town): The return journey will depart from Shakurbasti at 6:50 PM on November 11, 2026, and is slated to arrive at Malda Town at 1:45 AM on the third day.
Key Stops and Connectivity
To assist local passengers and improve connectivity within the Eastern Railway jurisdiction, the train will make several important stops in both directions. These include:
- New Farakka
- Barharwa
- Sahibganj
- Kahalgaon
- Bhagalpur
- Sultanganj
- Jamalpur
- Abhaipur
The inclusion of stops at Bhagalpur and other nearby stations is specifically intended to help local commuters secure confirmed seats during the peak travel period.
