The Varanasi Division of North Eastern Railway (NER) has expanded the coach capacity for daily commuters on two major routes from Mau. With the addition of four extra coaches, the seating capacity has jumped from 614 to 921 seats. The total carrying capacity, including standing passengers, has increased by 1.5 times. This means approximately 2500 passengers can now travel comfortably in a single trip. This change is specifically designed to help office employees, local traders, and students who frequently travel between Mau, Varanasi, and Prayagraj.

Official train details and ticketing rules

The expansion applies to two pairs of trains that serve as vital links for regional connectivity. These trains are fully unreserved, and passengers can buy tickets through station counters or the UTS mobile app. The fare remains as per the standard Indian Railways MEMU tariff.
