₹32 Crore Moradabad Division Station Expansion
The Moradabad Railway Division has officially initiated a massive infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving efficiency and passenger comfort. A tender valued at ₹32.01 crore has been issued for a comprehensive Moradabad Division station expansion project covering three key locations: Aghwanpur, Dalelpur, and Chodiaala.
Boosting Operational Efficiency and Freight Movement
A major component of this development is the enhancement of train movement capacity. To prevent congestion on the main lines, the project includes the construction of additional rail lines flanking the existing tracks. These extensions are specifically designed to:
- Accommodate the full length of heavy goods trains.
- Provide dedicated parking for freight wagons clear of the main line.
- Ensure the seamless and uninterrupted flow of other rail traffic.
Upgraded Amenities for Passengers
The expansion is not limited to freight; it also places a high priority on the passenger experience. To facilitate safer and more convenient travel, the following improvements are planned:
- New Elevated Platforms: These will be developed to ensure easier boarding and deboarding for commuters.
- Improved Access: At the Aghwanpur station crossing, the project will address existing issues through the construction of an underpass and a dedicated access road.
Modernizing Technical Infrastructure
To support these physical expansions, the division will implement several technical upgrades. This includes the installation of state-of-the-art signaling systems to manage increased traffic. Furthermore, new buildings will be constructed to house enhanced railway communication infrastructure, ensuring better coordination and safety across the division.
Interested contractors have until the deadline of October 8, 2026, to submit their bids for this significant railway development.
