Moradabad Division Launches Special Trains for UPSSSC PET Exam

The Moradabad division of Northern Railway has launched a series of special trains to accommodate the massive surge of candidates appearing for the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2026. With exams scheduled for October 25, October 30, and November 1, 2026, railway authorities are working to ensure that students can reach their exam centers without significant delays or overcrowding.

Special Services and Extra Halts for Examinees

To manage the heavy passenger load, the Moradabad division has introduced five special trains specifically for the exam period. In addition to these new services, railway officials have implemented extra halts for two express trains at Bareilly Junction, providing much-needed convenience for students traveling through this key junction.

Mahesh Yadav, the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager for the Northern Railway Moradabad division, noted that a significant number of candidates had already begun arriving at major stations within the division. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Northern Railway and North Central Railway to maintain smooth operations without disrupting regular train schedules.

Massive Scale and Enhanced Security

The UPSSSC PET examination is being conducted on a massive scale across the state, with 1,372 examination centers located in 60 different cities. To manage this logistical challenge, authorities have coordinated closely with the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to maintain strict security across the rail network.

Moradabad District Magistrate Anunay Jha confirmed that a total of eight special trains have been organized within the district to facilitate the flow of candidates. Furthermore, SP City Kumar Ranvijay Singh highlighted that local authorities worked in advance with railway officials to streamline travel toward major hubs such as Barabanki, Ayodhya, and Lucknow.

Key Routes and Student Assistance

Several specific routes have been prioritized to help students reach their destinations. These include services running between:

  • Moradabad and Lucknow
  • Shahjahanpur and Bijnor

For students attending multiple shifts or needing to return immediately after their exams, train number 04322 has been designated to provide essential return services.

To further assist the traveling students, the Moradabad GRP has set up dedicated support infrastructure. This includes:

  • Seven help desks strategically placed to answer queries.
  • Seven holding areas spread across six different stations to provide a safe space for candidates waiting for their trains.
