With the addition of these 12 trains, the total number of AC local services on the Central Railway network will increase to 120. This includes 92 AC services on the Main Line and 28 services on the Harbour Line. Since these are replacements, the total number of weekday trains will remain at 1,820.
Which specific trains and timings are updated?
Three of the newly upgraded AC services will operate during the busiest peak hours. These are the 6:46 am Titwala-CSMT local, the 9:16 am Ghatkopar-CSMT local, and the 7:18 pm CSMT-Kalyan local. The AC rakes will be available from Monday to Saturday, while non-AC rakes will run on Sundays and nominated holidays.
