Surat railway station is undergoing a redevelopment worth ₹1,500 crore, with dedicated suburban platforms expected to be ready by December 2027. Additionally, the first 100-km section of the high-speed rail between Surat and Vapi will open in August 2027, while the full corridor will be operational by December 2029.
