Nagpur-Samastipur Weekly Special Train for Festive Travel
The Nagpur Division of Central Railway has announced the introduction of the Nagpur-Samastipur-Nagpur weekly special express (Train numbers 01207/01208). This service has been launched to manage the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming Puja, Diwali, and Chhath festive seasons.
Service Schedule and Timings
A total of eight trips will be operated, with four trips scheduled in each direction to assist holiday travelers. The specific details for the services are as follows:
- Train 01207 (Nagpur to Samastipur): This weekly special will depart from Nagpur every Wednesday at 18:40 hours. The service will run from October 21 to November 11, 2026, reaching Samastipur at 23:45 hours the following day.
- Train 01208 (Samastipur to Nagpur): This weekly special will depart from Samastipur Junction every Friday at 03:00 hours. The service will operate from October 23 to November 13, 2026, arriving in Nagpur at 11:30 hours the next day.

The special trains will provide connectivity through several major stations. Both directions will feature identical stoppages, including:

Coach Composition
To accommodate a wide range of passengers, the train will consist of 18 coaches in total:
- 6 General class coaches
- 6 Sleeper class coaches
- 4 AC 3-tier coaches
- 2 Guard-cum-luggage vans
