This intervention follows a series of major infrastructure projects conducted earlier this year. During the months of May, June, and July, massive traffic blocks were implemented on the Narkatiaganj-Gorakhpur and Muzaffarpur-Narkatiaganj rail sections. Those previous blocks were necessary to complete critical tasks, such as:

- Pre-interlocking Operations: Preparing the essential signaling systems.

As part of the long-term strategic initiative to renovate the Narkatiaganj rail line, railway services have undergone various operational adjustments. During the mega traffic blocks conducted earlier in the year, several disruptions were recorded to allow for these vital upgrades.
Previous disruptions included the cancellation of multiple passenger trains and the short-termination of various services.
Additionally, prominent long-distance services were diverted via alternative routes to ensure continued movement during the construction periods. Notable diversions included:
- Sapt Kranti Express: Diverted via routes including Raxaul, Sitamarhi, and Chhapra.
- Champaran Humsafar Express: Also redirected through alternative paths to bypass the maintenance zones.
These interventions remain a core part of the plan to enhance the Narkatiaganj rail line, ensuring a more robust and high-speed transit network for the future.
