Narnaul Railway Station New End Pathway Quality Concerns Raised by Passengers

The newly constructed end pathway at Narnaul railway station has raised serious questions regarding construction quality as material has started coming off within days of completion. Passengers and local railway associations have demanded a thorough technical probe into the matter to ensure accountability and proper utilization of public funds. Passengers using the Narnaul railway station are facing inconvenience as the newly built end pathway has started deteriorating shortly after its inauguration. The pathway surface has begun shedding gravel and construction materials while remaining uneven at multiple locations, prompting the Daily Rail Passenger and Public Welfare Association to demand an independent technical inquiry.

Chronology of the Pathway Construction

The proposal for building the end pathway towards the Ringas end was officially submitted to railway authorities on May 21 2026 to improve passenger convenience. Following this, the railways issued a confirmation letter on June 19 promising the execution of the project. The construction work was successfully completed on August 18. Just a day later on August 19, North Western Railway General Manager Pankaj Sharma inspected the Narnaul station premises. However, association president Ganesh Sharma pointed out that within just 10 to 11 days of completion, the pathway surface began disintegrating, raising doubts about the quality of materials used and adherence to engineering standards.

Demand for Strict Action and Accountability

Association secretary Advocate Mahavir Jain emphasized that quality must remain the highest priority for all public infrastructure funded by taxpayers. The association has formally requested a comprehensive investigation covering construction materials, quality testing reports, technical parameters, and payment records. Citing the example of the end pathway at Rewari station, the association also questioned the functional design and utility of the Narnaul structure. Furthermore, they have demanded a thorough review of the approved layout maps and strict disciplinary or financial action against any officials, staff, or executing agencies found guilty of negligence or irregularities.
