New Daily Kanpur Mail: Seamless Overnight Connectivity Between Kanpur & Delhi!
The Indian Railway Ministry has officially greenlit a brand-new daily service to bridge the gap between the industrial powerhouse of Kanpur and the National Capital Region. The newly approved 'Kanpur Mail' promises to transform overnight travel for thousands of commuters and business travelers.
Service Overview and Timings
Designed to facilitate efficient movement between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal, this new service will operate under train numbers 14153 and 14154. The train will cover a total distance of 428 kilometers, providing a convenient overnight option for passengers.
Train No. 14153: Kanpur Central to Anand Vihar Terminal
- Departure from Kanpur Central: 20:40 hours
- Arrival at Anand Vihar Terminal: 04:50 hours (the following morning)
- Journey Duration: Approximately 8 hours and 10 minutes
Train No. 14154: Anand Vihar Terminal to Kanpur Central
- Departure from Anand Vihar Terminal: 23:25 hours
- Arrival at Kanpur Central: 07:25 hours
- Journey Duration: Approximately 8 hours
Strategic Stoppages Along the Route
To ensure the service caters to various regional hubs and facilitates local travel, the Kanpur Mail will make eight scheduled commercial stops:
- Phaphund
- Etawah
- Tundla
- Hathras
- Aligarh
- Khurja
- Dadri
- Ghaziabad
Approval and Advocacy
The introduction of this daily service was officially approved on September 24, 2026. The initiative followed dedicated advocacy from Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi to enhance connectivity for the region's industrial sector. The announcement process involved officials including Dharmendra Tewari, Dr. Nayan Solanki, and Ritu Raj.
