Passengers can expect ticket bookings to open immediately once the formal administrative approval is granted. This new addition aims to provide a faster and more comfortable alternative for travelers heading towards Patna.

Capacity Expansion for Festive Season Rush

Recognizing the massive surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming festive season, Northern Railway has announced a significant capacity expansion for existing festive special services. To accommodate the heavy demand during Diwali and Chhath Puja, the coach count for existing Vande Bharat special trains 02252 and 02251 will be increased from 16 to 20 coaches.

  • From New Delhi: The increased capacity will take effect from November 9.
  • From Patna Junction: The expanded service will begin from November 10.

Key Stoppages for Festive Specials

The existing festive special services operating on the Delhi–Patna corridor will continue to serve several vital junctions. Travelers should note the following key stops:

  • Aligarh
  • Kanpur Central
  • Prayagraj
  • Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (DDU) Junction
  • Buxar

Passengers are strongly advised to keep a close watch on the official Indian Railways and IRCTC platforms for the final operational notifications regarding the new service launch and updated schedules.
