New Delhi Station: Platform Changes for Festive Rush

If you are planning to travel through the capital during the upcoming holidays, you may need to double-check your platform number. To manage the massive surge in passenger traffic during the festive season, Northern Railway has announced temporary platform adjustments at the New Delhi Railway Station.

Managing the Festive Surge

The temporary changes are scheduled to remain in effect from October 16, 2026, until November 17, 2026. This period covers the peak travel windows for major festivals, including Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja. According to railway authorities, these adjustments are essential to reduce station congestion and ensure enhanced passenger safety during the heavy rush.
