The Northern Railway has announced the launch of a new festival special train service between New Delhi and Supaul to accommodate increased passenger traffic during the upcoming holiday season. The service aims to assist travelers heading to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for festivals including Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath.

Train number 04072/04071 New Delhi-Supaul-New Delhi Festival Special will operate daily with a total of 59 trips. The 04072 New Delhi-Supaul special will run from October 1, 2026, to November 28, 2026, while the 04071 Supaul-New Delhi special will run from October 3, 2026, to November 30, 2026.

Schedule and Timings

Train 04072 departs from New Delhi (NDLS) at 9:35 PM and arrives at Supaul (SOU) at 6:35 AM on the third day. On the return journey, train 04071 departs from Supaul at 7:45 AM and arrives at New Delhi at 3:00 PM the following day. Passengers are advised to note these timings carefully to plan their holiday travel smoothly.

Route and Coach Composition

The train route includes major stops at Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Tundla, Etawah, Govindpuri, Prayagraj, Gyanpur Road, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Ghazipur City, Ballia, Suremanpur, Chhapra, Sonpur, Hajipur, Shahpur Patori, Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria, Mansi, Simri Bakhtiyarpur, and Saharsa. To ensure sufficient availability and comfortable travel for everyone, the train will consist of 16 coaches, comprising three AC coaches, eight sleeper coaches, four general coaches, and two SLRD coaches.
