New Meerut, Kanpur, and Delhi Train Services Launched
The Ministry of Railways has announced the introduction of new Meerut Kanpur Delhi trains to enhance regional connectivity. These new MEMU and Express services are designed to provide smoother travel options for daily commuters and long-distance passengers across Uttar Pradesh and the Delhi-NCR region.
New MEMU Services for Meerut and Saharanpur
To boost regional connectivity, new Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) services have been approved to serve the Meerut corridor. These trains are specifically designed to cater to intermediate stations, making local travel more efficient for residents in these areas.
Khurja to Meerut City MEMU
The new service between Khurja and Meerut City will operate according to the following schedule:
- Train 64573: Departs Khurja at 1:15 p.m. and arrives at Meerut City at 5:20 p.m.
- Train 64574: Departs Meerut City at 11:25 a.m. and arrives in Khurja at 4:00 p.m.
Saharanpur to Meerut City MEMU
Another new MEMU route will connect Saharanpur and Meerut City, providing vital links for passengers traveling through this corridor:
- Train 64580: Departs Saharanpur at 5:50 a.m. and reaches Meerut City at 8:10 a.m.
- Train 64579: Departs Meerut City at 5:45 p.m. and arrives in Saharanpur at 8:40 p.m.
Daily Kanpur Central to Anand Vihar Express
In addition to the MEMU services, the Ministry has introduced a new daily mail service to connect Kanpur with the Delhi-NCR region. This service aims to facilitate easier travel between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal.
The details for this new daily service are as follows:
- Train 14153: Departs Kanpur Central at 8:40 p.m. and arrives at Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 a.m. the following morning.
- Train 14154: Departs Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:25 p.m. and arrives at Kanpur Central at 7:25 a.m.
Key Stops for the Kanpur-Delhi Service
To ensure better accessibility for regional travelers, the new mail service will make scheduled stops at several important stations, including:
- Phaphund
- Etawah
- Tundla
- Hathras
- Aligarh
- Khurja
- Dadri
