Train Cancellations in Ghaziabad

In a significant move affecting railway passengers, Northern Railway has announced the cancellation of 22 trains operating out of Ghaziabad for a period of three months, specifically from December 1 to February 28. This decision comes in response to the increasing fog conditions during the winter months, which pose safety concerns for train operations. As a result, travelers using Ghaziabad railway station will face challenges in their commutes as these cancellations take effect.

Impact on Train Operations

Ghaziabad railway station is a vital hub, with approximately 450 trains passing through it. Notably, over 200 of these trains operate without making stops at the station. The majority of the affected services are those heading towards Delhi and the North East. Train services that connect Ghaziabad to nearby destinations such as Meerut, Hapur, and Aligarh will be significantly impacted due to these cancellations, which are aimed at ensuring the safe transit of passengers amid adverse weather conditions.

List of Canceled Trains

Among the trains that will be canceled during this period are the 04148 Meerut City to Ghaziabad, 4149 Ghaziabad to Meerut City, and 04335 Moradabad to Ghaziabad, along with the 14003 Malda Town Express. These cancellations highlight the operational adjustments being made by the railway authorities to mitigate risks associated with fog, ensuring that safety remains the top priority for all travelers.
