Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Sinha, is on an action mode. He has issued a big order for the executive officers of all municipal bodies in Bihar, including Patna, sanitation officials, and city managers to be given new numbers. Officers will receive their CUJ mobile numbers after the end of the lunar month on January 15.
A call center will be opened for complaints and suggestions after a meeting with officials from the Urban Development and Housing Department. This will make it easier for the general public to communicate their grievances and suggestions directly to the authorities. A WhatsApp number will also be provided.
On January 15, a toll-free number will be issued for people to easily lodge complaints about disputes and issues related to their neighborhoods or colonies. The department is preparing to start working on this soon. Minister Vijay Sinha has ordered the budget to be prepared for improving contact pathways with the municipal corporation.
It is believed that this initiative by Minister Vijay Sinha will help in curbing corruption. He is also holding strong meetings with officials from the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, giving them ultimatums on resolving land issues.
