The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a special update for commuters traveling on Sunday, February 22, 2026. In order to facilitate the participants of the New Delhi Marathon 2026, train services will begin significantly earlier than usual on key corridors. This arrangement allows runners and volunteers to reach their destinations on time without facing traffic hassles on the roads.

Which metro lines are running early?
The early service will commence from terminal stations at 03:30 AM. This special timing applies only to specific lines connecting major parts of Delhi and NCR. Trains will operate at a frequency of 30 minutes until 06:00 AM on the following routes:
- Yellow Line: Samaypur Badli to Millennium City Centre Gurugram
- Blue Line: Dwarka Sec-21 to Noida Electronic City / Vaishali
- Violet Line: Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh
What about the regular schedule?
Commuters should note that this special arrangement is for the early morning hours only. From 06:00 AM onwards, the train frequency and timings will revert to the regular Sunday timetable across the entire DMRC network. For metro lines other than the Yellow, Blue, and Violet lines, services will begin as per their standard Sunday schedule without any changes.
