Idgah Railway Station: Train services to increase and passenger facilities to be enhanced in Agra

The railway administration has announced a plan to increase the number of trains at Idgah Railway Station in Agra. This move comes to handle the growing number of passengers and improve connectivity for the public. Currently, 51 trains operate from this station, and more services will be added soon.

What are the new updates for Idgah Railway Station?

The station has undergone a major makeover under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme with an investment of Rs 12.8 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the redeveloped station on May 22, 2025. To reduce the load on Agra Fort Station, the Agra Division shifted 12 pairs of trains (24 trains) to stop at Idgah Agra Junction. This decision was approved by the Railway Board on May 30, 2025.
