Indian Railways will start operating two new Amrit Bharat Express trains from Uttar Pradesh on April 28, 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off these trains from Varanasi. These services will connect Uttar Pradesh with Maharashtra to make long-distance travel faster and more affordable for common passengers.
Banaras to Hadapsar Amrit Bharat Express details
The inaugural special trip from Banaras will leave at 4:45 PM on April 28, 2026. For regular service, train number 22589 will depart Banaras daily at 6:15 PM and reach Hadapsar at 12:10 AM on the third day. Train number 22590 will return from Hadapsar at 7:50 AM and reach Banaras at 2:30 PM the next day.

Train number 22111/22112 will run between Ayodhya Dham Junction and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) Mumbai. This will be a weekly service passing through Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train virtually from Varanasi.
