Indian Railways Announces 15 Special Trains for Holi 2025, Including Vande Bharat, to Accommodate Increased Passenger Demand

Holi Special Train 2025 Overview

In response to the increased passenger demand during the Holi festival, Indian Railways has announced the operation of 15 special trains, including the Vande Bharat service, connecting various stations in Delhi and Bihar. This initiative aims to accommodate the surge in travelers and ensure a smooth journey for festive passengers. The special trains will operate between March 7 and March 21, 2025, with specific schedules outlined for different routes.

Vande Bharat and Superfast Festival Specials

The New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special (Train No. 02436-02435) will depart daily from New Delhi at 08:30 AM, except on Mondays, starting from March 8 until March 20. It is scheduled to arrive in Patna at 10:30 PM on the same day. The return service from Patna will operate from March 9 to March 21, departing at 05:30 AM and reaching New Delhi at 08:10 PM. Additionally, the Delhi-Patna Superfast Festival Special (Train No. 04062-04061) will run daily from Delhi at 11:55 PM from March 7 to March 17, reaching Patna at 04:40 PM the following day, with the return trip leaving Patna at 05:50 PM and arriving in Delhi at 10:25 PM the next day.

Anand Vihar-Rajgir Superfast Festival Special

The Anand Vihar-Rajgir Superfast Festival Special (Train No. 04070-04069) is scheduled to depart from Anand Vihar on March 7, 11, 14, and 18 at 12:20 PM, arriving in Rajgir at 07:50 PM the same day. The return service from Rajgir will leave at 11:30 PM on the same dates and is set to arrive back at Anand Vihar at 07:00 PM the following day. These additional services are part of the railways’ effort to manage the festive rush effectively.
