Due to ongoing interlocking work, which is expected to be completed by April 30, 2025, several changes and cancellations have been implemented for specific trains. Notably, the Chhapra-Mathura Express (Train No. 15109) will operate on selected dates, including April 16, 21, 23, 25, 28, and May 2, 2025, following a new route through Chhapra-Siwan-Bhatni-Andihar-Varanasi-Prayagraj Junction.

These adjustments are part of the operational block affecting several trains, including the Jayanagar-Amritsar Express.

Infrastructure Development and Enhancements

In a recent meeting, General Manager Soumya Mathur highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at improving railway operations in the North Eastern Railway zone. These efforts include increasing line capacity, upgrading passenger facilities, and ensuring safe operations, along with employee welfare and environmental safety initiatives. Significant progress has been achieved, with a total of 105 km of multi-tracking work completed for the fiscal year 2024-25, including the third line work from Gonda Kachhari to Karnailganj and an independent bypass line at Aishbagh-Manak Nagar under the Budhawal-Gonda third line project.
