What’s inside:

This article provides updates on train cancellations and diversions due to modernization work in Malda.

There’s a significant update regarding train services in Malda. Due to modernization work at the railway yard, many trains will be cancelled or rerouted. This includes popular services like the Malda-Kiul train and the Kamakhya-Delhi Brahmaputra Mail.

For instance, the Intercity train between Kiul and Malda will not run on September 3rd. The Brahmaputra Mail coming from Delhi to Kamakhya will take a different route via Mokama-Barauni from August 30th to September 2nd. Similarly, the train going from Kamakhya to Delhi will also skip Bhagalpur and travel via Barauni-Mokama during this time.

Passengers should also note that the weekly express train from Bhagalpur to Gaya will change its route on September 1st, running via Katihar-Khagaria-Munger-Jamalpur. On September 2nd, the train from Gaya to Kamakhya will also avoid Bhagalpur and take the Munger-Khagaria route instead.
