Meerut Route Speed Upgrade: Trains to run at 130 Kmph between Ghaziabad and Saharanpur
Indian Railways has increased the speed limit for trains running on the Ghaziabad-Meerut-Saharanpur route. The Northern Railway commissioned Double Distant Signals in the Pabli Khas and Meerut Cantt section to make this possible. How was the safety and testing managed
The Ministry of Railways implemented Double Distant Signalling to give loco pilots better visibility and advance information. This system reduces the need for sudden braking and improves punctuality. To ensure safety, officials conducted a total of 90 routine tests, including 57 tests at Meerut Cantt and 33 at Pabli Khas.
