New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special Train Extended Service Amid Increased Passenger Rush After Puja.

Additional Vande Bharat Special Services

In response to the increased passenger demand following the puja festivities, two additional trips of train number 02252/02251 New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Special will be operated. According to Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra, train 02252 will depart from New Delhi on December 1 and December 4, 2024, while train 02251 will leave Patna on December 2 and December 5, 2024. This initiative aims to facilitate smoother travel for passengers during this busy period.

Changes Due to Yard Remodeling at Kotshila Station

Due to necessary yard remodeling work at Kotshila station in the Adra division, several train operations have been altered. The following cancellations have been announced: train number 13504/13503 Vardhaman-Hatia-Vardhman Express will be suspended from November 30 to December 5, 2024, and train number 08641/08642 Adra-Barkakana-Adra MEMU Special will not operate from December 1 to December 5, 2024. Additionally, some trains will be running on diverted routes during this period.

Diverted and Rescheduled Train Operations

Several trains will operate on diverted routes starting December 1, 2024. For instance, train number 18628/18627 Ranchi-Howrah-Ranchi Express will run via Muri-Gunda Bihar-Chandil-Tata-Kharagpur, and train number 18428 Anand Vihar-Puri Express will travel via Gomo-Anara-Purulia-Chandil. Furthermore, multiple trains will continue operating via Muri-Barkakana-Chandrapura, including the Ranchi-Patna Janshatabdi Express and the Howrah-Ranchi Shatabdi Express. Notably, the Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar special train (02831) scheduled for December 5, 2024, will be delayed by one hour.
