Railway operations in Ranchi disrupted as Godda-Ranchi Intercity Express route temporarily changed due to maintenance work.

Due to non-interlocking work done by the railway in Ranchi, the operation of trains has been temporarily affected. As a result, the route of the 18620/18619 Godda-Ranchi-Godda Intercity Express has been changed temporarily. The train will now terminate at Namkum station instead of its usual destination, Ranchi, until January 7, 2026.

Passengers traveling from Godda to Ranchi will have to alight at Namkum station, while those traveling from Ranchi to Godda will have to board the train at Namkum station. It is advised that passengers check the updated status of the train before their journey and plan alternative arrangements or use other trains to avoid inconvenience.


During this period, the train operation will resume on its regular route after the completion of the work. Passengers are requested to stay informed about the situation and make necessary travel arrangements accordingly.
