Daily rail passengers demand stoppage of major trains at Nizampur railway station

The Dainik Railyatri Jagruk Manch launched a special campaign on Sunday to demand the expansion of passenger amenities and the stoppage of major trains at the Nizampur railway station in Narnaul. Local railway commuters are facing severe inconvenience due to the lack of adequate facilities and non-stoppage of important express trains at this crucial regional hub.
During the campaign, forum members highlighted that Nizampur railway station serves as the primary railhead for residents across 10 to 12 surrounding villages. A large number of daily commuters travel from this region to major cities like Delhi and Jaipur for work, education, and business. However, inadequate infrastructure and the absence of halts for key trains force passengers to travel to distant stations, resulting in extra travel time and financial burden.
Key Demands Raised by Rail Passengers
- Regular stoppage for the Runicha Express at Nizampur station.
- Immediate halt provision for the Tanakpur-Dorai Express.
- Urgent expansion of basic passenger amenities at the station platform.
- Speedy completion of long-delayed interlocking work spanning a 50-kilometer radius.
Urgent Need for Infrastructure Upgrade
The passenger forum expressed deep concern over the inordinate delay in the ongoing interlocking work in the 50-kilometer region. Members emphasized that expediting this infrastructure project is vital for improving overall train operations and enhancing safety standards. Forum president Ashok Karia, vice-president Mahesh Bakhalia, secretary Manish Koli, and other prominent members urged the railway administration to address these pending grievances at the earliest to benefit thousands of daily travellers.
