Winter Fog Train Cancellations Announced for North India

Indian Railways has announced significant winter fog train cancellations and frequency reductions across North India to ensure safe operations. Due to the expected dense fog during the winter months, several train services will face major disruptions between December 2026 and March 2027.

Safety Measures Amid Dense Fog

The decision to suspend or reduce train frequencies is aimed at maintaining punctuality and mitigating the safety risks posed by extremely poor visibility. Dr. Shivam Sharma, the Chief Public Relations Officer of North Central Railway, Prayagraj, confirmed that these measures are essential to prevent accidents and manage rail operations effectively during the heavy fog season.
