North Western Railway resumes Delhi Reengus Express services after infrastructure upgrades

The North Western Railway has officially announced the restoration of two key train services on the Phulera Ringas Rewari rail section bringing major relief to daily commuters and travellers passing through the Dabla railway station in the Patan region. This positive development comes after the successful completion of crucial double line infrastructure work between the Kund Pali and Khori stations. The project was part of a larger capacity enhancement drive that had previously caused temporary traffic disruptions and non interlocking blocks from August 12 to September 24, 2026. Chief Public Relations Officer Amit Sudarshan confirmed these important updates on September 3, 2026.

Passengers looking forward to travelling on this route will be glad to know the exact operational dates. The Delhi Reengus Express train number 74041 will operate on September 5 and 6. Following this service, the return journey via the Reengus Delhi Express train number 74042 will run on September 6 and 7. These services are expected to ease passenger congestion and improve punctuality across the newly upgraded section.

Special Janmashtami Trains Introduced

In addition to the regular service restoration Indian Railways has launched special unreserved train services numbered 04415 and 04416 to help passengers commute conveniently during the upcoming Janmashtami festival. Train 04415 will depart from Old Delhi at 6 50 PM on September 3, 4, and 5, reaching Reengus at 12 40 AM. For the return journey, train 04416 will leave Reengus at 2 00 AM on September 4, 5, and 6, arriving back at Old Delhi at 7 00 AM. To ensure maximum convenience for festival travellers, these special trains have scheduled stoppages at Delhi Sarai Rohilla, Delhi Cantt, Gurgaon, Pataudi Road, Rewari Junction, Narnaul, and Neem Ka Thana stations.
