NWR Alert: Indore-Jodhpur Express Cancelled, 6 Trains Affected

Travelers navigating the North Western Railway (NWR) network are facing significant disruptions as several train services have been impacted or cancelled entirely. A combination of essential infrastructure upgrades and regional protests has thrown scheduled operations into disarray across multiple sectors.
Why Are Trains Being Cancelled?
The primary cause for these disruptions is the ongoing construction of Road Over Bridges (ROB) and Road Under Bridges (RUB). Major traffic blocks have been implemented in critical sections, including the Churu Yard and the Loharu-Parvezpur stretches, to facilitate these works.
These engineering projects have forced the railway to implement route diversions, partial operations, and full cancellations in the following sectors:
- Churu
- Sikar
- Bikaner
- Rewari
- Jodhpur
- Hisar
Furthermore, protests occurring in the Delhi region have added unexpected operational strain to the entire network, compounding the challenges faced by the railway administration.
Major Train Updates and Cancellations
According to NWR CPRO Amit Sudarshan, several key services have been directly affected by these changes:
- Indore-Jodhpur Express (14802): This service has been cancelled due to a shortage of rakes.
- Ajmer-Jammu Tawi Express: Passengers should prepare for significant delays, as the train has been rescheduled by approximately 10 hours.
- Bhiwani-Bandra Special (09006): For the journey scheduled on October 15, the train will now terminate at Borivali instead of its original destination, Bandra Terminus.
- Churu Yard Services: Four trains have been cancelled specifically due to the intensity of the work being carried out at the Churu yard.
Massive Service Disruptions Reported
The scale of the disruption is evident in the cancellation numbers recorded between October 9 and October 12, 2026. During the window of October 9-10, 13 services were cancelled, while an additional 10 services were called off on October 11-12.
