To assist thousands of students appearing for the upcoming Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Level-1 (Group-D) computer-based examinations, the Northeast Railway has announced the operation of dedicated unreserved special trains. These services will run daily on the Mau-Bareilly route via Lucknow from August 2, 2026, to August 25, 2026, ensuring seamless connectivity for aspirants travelling to their designated test centres.

  • Route: Mau to Bareilly via Lucknow (covering Azamgarh, Ayodhya Dham, and Badshahnagar).
  • Operational Period: August 2 to August 25, 2026.
  • Train Composition: 14 coaches including both General and Sleeper class accommodation.
  • Exam Schedule: The RRB Level-1 exams are set for August 3 to August 25, 2026, in three daily shifts.

Train Timings and Schedule

According to the official announcement by Sumit Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northeast Railway, Train 05185 (Mau-Bareilly Unreserved Examination Special) will depart from Mau daily at 11:45 AM between August 2 and August 24. The train is scheduled to pass through major hubs including Azamgarh, Ayodhya Dham Junction, Ayodhya Cantt, Badshahnagar (8:30 PM), and Daliganj (9:25 PM), finally reaching Bareilly City at 6:10 AM the next day.

For the return journey, Train 05186 (Bareilly-Mau Unreserved Examination Special) will depart from Bareilly daily at 3:25 PM from August 3 to August 25. This train will arrive at Daliganj at 12:05 AM and Badshahnagar at 12:45 AM, completing its journey in Mau at 8:20 AM the following morning.

Exam Details for Candidates

The RRB Level-1 (Group-D) examinations are conducted in three specific shifts daily: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Candidates are advised to check their admit cards thoroughly, as city intimation slips were released on July 24, 2026. With the introduction of these 14-coach special trains, the railway aims to manage the high passenger volume expected during the examination period, providing a convenient travel option for students heading to their respective centres.
