Northern Railway has officially announced a revised schedule for its Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters across the Delhi-NCR region for November 8, 2026, in observance of the Diwali festival. Passengers planning to book tickets in person should take note of these significant operational changes to avoid any travel disruptions.

Security Measures and Booking Advice
To bolster security and effectively manage the massive holiday crowds during the Diwali and Chhath Puja period, Northern Railway has also implemented restrictions on parcel bookings and platform ticket sales at several major stations within the Delhi-NCR area.
"Passengers are urged to verify the revised timings of their local reservation offices before traveling to avoid any potential inconvenience," stated Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Northern Railway.
To bypass the need for physical counter visits and to ensure a smoother experience, railway authorities strongly encourage all passengers to utilize the official IRCTC website or the mobile application for their ticket bookings.
