Northern Railway announces train cancellations for Ghaziabad maintenance

Passengers travelling through the National Capital Region must plan their journeys carefully as Northern Railway has announced a major 10-day power and traffic block at Ghaziabad Railway Station. Scheduled to take place from September 25 to October 4, 2026, this temporary disruption is essential for critical infrastructural upgrades, including the replacement of aged tracks and damaged sleepers on Platform number 4. According to Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railway, commuters should expect service adjustments during this window. Key details of the maintenance work include 18 total train cancellations affecting local and MEMU services, platform changes for 45 other passing trains, and disruptions primarily impacting the Meerut-Ghaziabad, Delhi-Ghaziabad, Delhi-Moradabad, and Delhi-Meerut routes.
