Why is the route being changed and what are the impacts?

The route diversion is necessary because of non-interlocking and doubling work. This work is happening on the 27 km rail section between Gaura, Suwansa, Badshahpur, Nibapur, and Janghai. Due to this, some trains will follow a different path to reach their destination.

Additionally, from June 26 to June 30, trains like the Lucknow-Banaras Intercity and Varanasi-Lucknow Express will have a 2-minute halt at Suwansa station. This is because platforms at Badshahpur station are currently unavailable. However, the halt at Janghai station will remain the same.

How can passengers check their train status?

Senior DCM Samarth Gupta of Northern Railway’s Lucknow division has asked passengers to be cautious. To avoid any inconvenience, travelers should verify the latest status of their trains before leaving for the station.

Passengers can use the official railway helpline number 139, check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES), or use the official Indian Railways website and mobile app for real-time updates.
