Northern Railway is running daily special trains between Anand Vihar Terminal and Bhagalpur to handle the massive rush during the festive season of Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath. These special services were confirmed by Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay and announced on the official Northern Railway X handle to help passengers secure confirmed seats during peak travel times.
Train number 04062 departs from Anand Vihar Terminal daily at 12:00 PM and arrives in Bhagalpur the next day at 1:30 PM. This service will operate from
October 10 to November 25, 2026, completing a total of 47 trips. On the return journey,
train number 04061 departs from Bhagalpur daily at 4:30 PM and reaches Anand Vihar Terminal the following night at 8:00 PM. This return service will run from
October 11 to November 26, 2026. Each train covers a distance of approximately 1,204 to 1,206 kilometers with an average travel duration of 25 hours and 30 minutes.
Coach Composition and Stoppages
The trains are equipped with multiple travel classes including
General Second Class, Sleeper Class, and AC coach accommodations. To ensure smooth connectivity for regional travellers, the trains have scheduled stoppages at Aligarh, Tundla, Govindpuri, Subedarganj, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar, Ara, Patna Junction, Bakhtiyarpur, Kiul, Jamalpur, Gaya, Jhajha, Jasidih, Madhupur, Chittaranjan, Asansol, Durgapur, Barddhaman, and Bandel.
